Dragon Fruit Pitaya Fruit

My friend just got back from Toronto, Canada and reported finding fresh dragon fruit there. He didn't seem too impressed, so maybe it wasn't the best it can be. US and especially California has too tight import restrictions to make the imported fresh fruits readily available if available at all. Folks are growing them more and more here however, but it isn't really commercially big anywhere yet.
